Role: Associate Marketing Specialist
Location: Remote – PST timezone only
Type: 5 month contract, 40 hours a week (potential for extension)
Rate: $25 – $28/hr DOE
Our client, a major media company, is looking to add an Associate Marketing Specialist to the team. This person will be a crucial member of the team. They will provide support during the company’s busy season, leading up to a major in-person event in October. While this is a remote role (PST hours only), you will have the opportunity to attend the event!
Responsibilities:Tools:
Effectively utilize tools such as Airtable, Slack, HubSpot, Marketo, WordPress, Event Software (Cvent, Bizzabo, Splash, etc.), Google Suite, Adobe Suite, and Canva to streamline marketing operations.**Hubspot & Marketo are two of the priorities**
Project Management:
Manage projects related to event marketing, including drafting marketing article posts, coordinating partner deliverables, and supporting the marketing team on miscellaneous projects.
Email Marketing:
Support drafting compelling marketing emails and manage email schedules to ensure timely delivery and maximize engagement.
Social Marketing: Assist in social media marketing efforts by creating simple social media ads, resizing vector file images, and adding text to graphics.
Copywriting and Design: Demonstrate strong copywriting skills for various marketing materials and possess basic design skills to resize vector file images, add text to graphics, and create simple social media ads.
Event Marketing Experience: Previous experience in event marketing (in-person events) is advantageous and will be considered a plus.
Sponsorship Marketing: Collaborate with the B2B marketing lead on email campaigns aimed at increasing sponsorship awareness and generate qualified leads. Assist the sales team in collecting and organizing sponsorship deliverables to clients post-event.
Ideation and Innovation: Contribute creative ideas and innovative marketing tactics to enhance marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
4+ years experience in a similar role, marketing in-person events
Proven experience in project management and email marketing
Familiarity with event marketing and sponsorship strategies is a plus.
