Job Description-
Here’s what you need to know about the role:
• You’ll be joining the Student Affairs Communications team; a department of creative professionals who enjoy enhancing the student experience through various marketing and communication mediums.
• You’ll be reporting to the Associate Director of Student Affairs Communications in a Regular twelve-month, staff appointment.
• You’ll be responsible for interpreting divisional design needs and turning them into creative solutions, delivering high-quality products, overseeing the design teams, and troubleshooting design problems.
• You’ll have to adhere to deadlines and manage divisional partners’ expectations in order to deliver effective creative assets.
• You’ll be expected to steward the Student Affairs’ brand as well as its sub-brands and assets to ensure brand alignment, use, and compliance.
• You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $55,000 -$62,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in art/graphic design and/or equivalent training and work experience.
• Previous experience in graphic art production, web ¡based design, proofreading, and illustrations.
• Experience using Apple hardware and software for design and desktop publishing+ designing high-quality publications, marketing fliers, informational signs, logos, and promotions.
• Demonstrated computer skills using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated knowledge of printing processes and techniques.
• Previous experience with photography and photo¡ editing.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful and effective relationships with diverse student and staff populations.
• Demonstrated experience providing quality customer service to internal and external clients.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team, prioritize work, solve problems, and perform multiple functions simultaneously in a work environment with periods of high stress.
• Demonstrated ability to handle many projects simultaneously with evidence of meeting deadlines.
• Previous experience supervising and directing the work of others and managing associated personnel documents.
• Previous experience stewarding an employer’s brand as well as its sub-brands and assets to ensure brand alignment, use, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with user experience design.
• Experience with designing for responsive websites.
• Comfortable creating social media content in a professional setting, keeping up-to-date with latest platforms, trends, and features.
• Previous experience with project management systems.
• Experience creating, using, and following a style guide.
• Demonstrated knowledge of shooting and editing photo and video using DSLR cameras.
