That offer has led us to build a product that…just works. We’ve placed 100+ job seekers in tech sales roles & have an 80% success rate when we decide to work with someone.

We are growing 300% YoY and we’re looking to continue this momentum by hiring an Account Executive for our small, scrappy team. Our team values independent thinking and results, not micro-management. ABOUT THE ROLE

Tech Sales Mentors has a strong brand & product that enables us to have strong inbound lead flow. 50% of our customers come from referrals from previous customers. We are looking for a salesperson that thrives on being-curious about others careers, building trust w/ a job seeker on a sales call, and a relentless drive to crush their targets so they can make money.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$90K – $110K OTE. 50/50 base, bonus split.

(Yes, we know most high ticket sales roles are all commission. We think it’s important you have a strong base salary as well).

Uncapped commissions if you overattain against your quota.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Take sales calls with job seekers, uncover their problems when it comes to their career + job search, and build the trust required to make them believe TSM should be running their job search.

Report on sales performance and analyze where things are going, and solutions / experiments to test to increase your conversion on sales calls.

Meet weekly with your manager, Chris DuVall, who went from being an enterprise sales rep at HubSpot ($30 billion tech company) to co-founding TSM. Take in his feedback and ruthlessly implement it.

Write your sales target down, how you are tracking against it, and look at it daily. You are obsessive about knowing your goal and knocking it out of the park.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years in closing roles for high-ticket B2C products/services.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

SKILLS

You are high energy. Sometimes you’re going to have a great week of sales. Other times, you’re not. When things aren’t going well, you have to be just as excited and enthusiastic about coming to work as when things are up and to the right. We’re not here to be your energy nanny.

You are low-ego. We believe deeply in a culture of feedback to make each other better. In the beginning, you will receive a lot of it. This comes from years of understanding how to sell to job seekers. You should be excited about the chance to get hands-on sales training from experts.

You are emotionally intelligent. While you might be an aggressive salesperson, you can read the room and understand what your prospect is communicating. They feel heard when they talk to you, they feel like you understand them and they can trust you.

You aren’t afraid. We’re a young company. We don’t have it all figured out. You aren’t afraid to recommend new experiments & iterate upon them when they fail.
