Netflix on Tuesday announced two major changes coming this year: The end of its DVD rental service and a crackdown on password sharing in the U.S.
The streaming service said it plans to launch a paid sharing option by the end of June in the U.S. after rolling out the feature in four countries and being “pleased with the results,” according to an earnings report. Under the new approach, each subscriber must pay an extra fee to share their account with someone outside their household.
